A residency program is offering 11 emerging artists an opportunity to develop new work and to advance their art careers. With free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities and free residencies for one year starting on 1 April and 1 October each year.
Mind Mapping
Utilizing a visual approach to thinking, called mind mapping. It is organizing information around a central idea, then adding branches of related details ideas, notes, images, tasks, hyperlinks and content to grow the idea. The end product is you end up with a big picture, and extensions for tracking all the details. More than likely you can take some of the extensions and grow them into new ideas or grow the original idea into a serious of ideas.

Science Engages In Interesting Experiments
The scientists working with the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have created sound samples based on real and simulated data from the ATLAS detector. The is the world’s largest particle accelerator that resides in a tunnel 27km in circumference beneath the earth near Geneva, Switzerland.
The ATLAS detector is searching for new discoveries in the head-on collisions of protons of extraordinarily high energy. ATLAS will learn about the basic forces that have shaped our Universe since the beginning of time. The data is first processed using the vast and all-powerful ATLAS software framework. Also be read by compositional software such as the Composers Desktop Project (CDP) and Csound software used for this project. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to scientific research through sound experimentation (remixing sound samples). Preference will be given to entries that use the samples in interesting and creative ways.
