Pictoplasma is the world’s leading organization dedicated to contemporary character design and art in all its many facets and media. By collecting, examining and making available an endless production of figurative images. The latest research project called “The Missing Link”. Pictoplasma is looking for white, hairy, friendly creatures, just feature-less enough to serve as the perfect empty screen for the viewers to project their own narration, yet exactly the right amount of hairiness, to make you want to get into physical cuddle-mode.

International Exhibition of Visual Arts

The art exhibited at NordArt will feature all visual art media. A non-profit initiative of the ACO Group, Kunstwerk Carlshütte and the towns of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg, is organizing NordArt, an annual international exhibition of visual arts from June to the beginning of October. The exhibition that started this summer (2011) displayed the work of 250 artists from 55 countries, selected from applications from 72 countries. Join in for 2012 representing your country.

Final showdown culminates with a live awards ceremony at the Future of Web Design conference, to be held 7–9 November, in New York City. All awards approx. US $111,936 total.

Siemens wants to hear and see your story on how sustainable cities can become a reality. Explain how cities can be made more sustainable by using eco-friendly products and implementing innovative energy and infrastructure solutions.

“Changing Your City for the Better” create a short video that explores how improvements in sustainability, energy supply, urban infrastructure and mobility can change your city, or any city, around the world for the better. For this project, Siemens is looking for contributions from around the world. Videos may be in any language although you will need to submit an English language text transcript with your video. Total award $40,000.

This is the first time Nokia is inviting people to work with the iconic tune with the winning tune to be placed next to the standard Nokia Tune in a selection of the company’s 2012 product portfolio. You get to create your own Nokia Tune using elements of the popular original. This is a opportunity to be part of a unique audio branding history.
